I conversed with these ladies this afternoon after eating at Tafewa Balewa post graduate hall at UI.

Water tanks at Zik Hall at UI. Boys in this dorm come here daily to fetch their water in buckets and bring it back to their rooms.

Lmaooo those are HORRIBLE!
lol. I remember that uniform! Is it Abadina secondary school? Keep up the good work Titi!
Abike’s dress is lovely. is that ankara btw?
God, that uniform is ugly! I bet it’s a brainchild of a deranged headteacher who thought what better way to humiliate these kids than making them wear the worst colour combination ever!
You’re doing a good job. Keep it up.
E sé!
..*ahem*..I had to wear pink and purple as my secondary school uniform.
Not to bad for the girls..but I believe some of the boys are still psychologically scarred! LOL
Ah! Naijamum, I apologize for knocking the pink and purple. I’m sure you looked smashing in it. It is a funny sight to see a line of students in those colors though!
I am very impressed with your work. I was once a UI undergrad, faculty of vet med. Will be great to link up and if possible meet you. I live in the UK though. All your pics just remind me of nigeria and my days at UI. Well done. Have you eaaten amala and gbegiri ati ewedu yet? You should try it before leaving my home land IBADAN. Awa ibadan, omo ajorosun, omo a fi ikaraun fo rin mu.
When I make it to the UK I will let the world know. Of course I have eaten amala and abula. O di dandan lati je oka ati abula ni Ibadan. O dun yungbayungba.
LOL>>> i”ve been on this blog a 100 times but everytime you speak yoruba you say sumn thats just i dunno….i only hear my grandma speak that kind of yoruba. ” O dun yungbayungba” lol. Welldone
Oh btw if you think this uniform is unfortunate you should see ADRAO uniform, its a school in lagos island. its like 6 messed up colours all together.
“O dun yungbayungba” ha ha ha rofl
This is the kind of ijile Yoruba my dad speaks (who is also from Oyo) that gets us cracking our brains 🙂
Good job!
My uniform in primary school was purple and green, and then all white in secondary school. You can only imagine the hell we went through trying to keep them clean especially in harmattan and in the absence of washers and dryers.
Wow, the school uniform colors here fascinate me. Pele. I hope you survived all of the hand washing.
NICE PICS! yeah our uniforms for my school was purple and lilac…quite similar haha
Hello Titi! Amazing pics and amazing effort you ve put into your blog. I am feeling all nostalgitic seeing these pictures you took couple of hours ago in my Home town and yet I am so far away from home…I believe you ll be feeling the same way too.
I find it interesting though at the speed with which you upload these pictures noting the kind of Internet connection speed Nigeria has to offer not to talk of the inconsistent power supply..
I just stumbled on your blog and video couple of days ago and I am hooking….would be nice to meet you and the group in person…hopefully soon when am in Ibadan…
Goodluck with your Career plans, I have no Doubt that you ll excel in whatever you chose to do.
Enjoy your weekend…..
PS:Would like to know what Camera you are using as well…
I can see from one of the Pictures that you are using a Canon EOS 10D, is this correct?
That is correct. It’s an old camera and very heavy but it still takes good pictures.
It is sometimes extremely frustrating to upload pictures to my blog, but I have a fast USB modem so I get lucky with fast speed most of the time. I have my fair share of slowness though, believe me. I use a Canon 10D. When you come to UI send me a message or make a comment and we can meet. Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement!
Titi! Nice pics! I’ve been following your blog since you came to naija. Amazing stuff rly!
Quick question – what kind of camera do you use?
