This is very good information, I’m so inspired my all the hard work you are doing. Do you know where i can find more information for my travels to Lagos? I’ve been using this http://www.africa.com/blog/business-travel-lagos-nigeria/ … have you seen this? Can you recommends more like it?
great blog…………thanks for all your hard work and for branding Nigeria different from what the west and the media is saying………….the media has become a weapon that destroys the image of Africa……I believe your blog is going to educate those western folks out there…thank
I think your statement; “It is extremely hot and humid for most of the year.” about Nigeria’s climate is relative and a bit embellished. It may seem that way to you, probably because you’ve lived in a temperate climate sha
No, Ope. She’s right. I live between Ibadan/Lagos and it is hot and humid all year round- except of course when it’s wet, hot and humid! LOL
Let us work together! we belive this will be great opportunity to effect some changes. We despirately need as a people! Thanks!
I am having a problem getting a visa!!!!
Clooney, it is either that Ayo Salami hasn’t got a clue to what he is talking about or he is trying to con somebody.
Clooney, do not believe what ‘they’ say out there… since you do not live in Nigeria, it means you do not know what obtains in the country. So when we say almost 100% of our GDP comes from oil… it because ‘WE KNOW’ it is so.
You are obviously a novice, and do not know that there is a need to detract people from knowing that our main source of wealth is Oil. We do not produce anything in this country – no textiles, minerals, nothing…Only OIL….. that is our sole export…. all others are IMPORTS
Forget research.. there is not one government parastatal that keeps data or is willing to share – go with the number of oil barrels being produced on an daily basis – multiply that by the cost of crude oil (using an average price), and then multiply that by the number of days in a year – knowing that the oil workers are on 24-7 shifts. Compare that to our GDP and you’ll see that it is about 100%.
Don’t be fooled…we have nothing else.. or rather… we refuse to focus on and develop other things
hehe, i dont know much about Nigeria cuz i have visited just twice. you said Almost 100% of it’s GDP comes from the oil sector which is not true at all. Even, Ayo Salami, chief investment officer at Duet Asset Management Ltd said on Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) that it’s 16% of Nigeria GDP. Are you not a Nigerian? You should know more….I even know more than you! below is a youtube video. when people here Nigeria they think is all about Oil lol
